On May 2nd, we’re taking over the entire lodge for a full-day experience leading up to the most exciting two minutes in sports—and a party that rolls well into the night.

This is not just a race.
This is a day at the Bay.

🏇 ARRIVE EARLY. STAY ALL DAY.

The energy starts right at 2:00—and builds all afternoon.

🎶 2:00 PM – Live Music Begins: Josh White (Sharp)
We kick things off immediately with Josh White, a seasoned frontman and crowd favorite known for his powerhouse vocals and wide-ranging set—from country and rock to grunge and classics. This is not background music… this sets the tone for the day.

🎲 2:30 PM – Boards Open + Prizes Announced
Get in on the action early. Boards open and prizes are revealed—giving you a chance to get your picks in and stay in the game all day.

🐎 2:30 PM – Eastbay Horse Race Game Begins
Our full-size, tabletop horse race experience opens—and it’s unlike anything you’ve played before. This will be running throughout the afternoon.

🎩 DRESS THE PART (OR DON’T—JUST SHOW UP)

👒 3:30 PM – Derby Promenade & Best Dressed Judging
This is your moment.

Break out the hats, the dresses, the suits—or show up in your favorite Eastbay hoodie and have some fun with it. This is about energy, not perfection.

We’ll host a formal promenade and select finalists for:

• Best Dressed Couple

• Best Hat

• Best Dressed Woman

• Best Dressed Man

Photos, recognition, and bragging rights included.

🏁 4:00 PM – Eastbay Stick Horse Race
Yes… we’re doing it.

The Eastbay Stick Horse Race will take place outdoors or inside our event center depending on weather—and it will be exactly as entertaining as you’re hoping.

📺 THE BUILD-UP TO THE BIG RACE

🕔 5:00 PM – Derby Broadcast Begins
We turn our full attention to the track.

All TVs across the sports bar and supper club will be dialed in as we follow the races leading up to the main event.

We’re bringing in one of the region’s premier country rock cover bands, known across Eau Claire and the surrounding area for high-energy performances and powerhouse vocals.

These aren’t just musicians—you’ll recognize faces, feel the energy, and get a full-on show as they take this party into the night.
