Some shows are booked.
Some shows just happen.
Friends of the Road feels a lot more like the second one.
Somewhere along the way, Dylan Martinson got the idea to bring together a few musicians he respects, throw them on the same stage, and see what happens. Not for a big payday. Not for a tour stop. Not because anybody had to.
Just because great music is better when it’s shared.
On Sunday, July 5th, ChiliDog, Eli Locke, Ryan Nelson, and Dylan Martinson will all find themselves at the same place, on the same stage, overlooking the waters of Lake Holcombe.
Different backgrounds.
Different stories.
Different roads.
One afternoon of music.
And maybe that’s exactly what makes this one special.
This year marks 250 years of America. Two and a half centuries of dreamers, drifters, storytellers, builders, rebels, believers, and everyday people finding common ground in the things that bring us together.
Music has always been one of them.
So after the fireworks fade and the smoke clears, we’re inviting you to spend one more day celebrating.
Not with politics.
Not with headlines.
Not with noise.
Just with songs.
Friends.
Cold drinks.
Lake life.
And a few musicians doing what they love.
